The TEMPEST

I have bedimm’d
The noontide sun, call’d forth the mutinous winds,
And ‘twixt the green sea and the azured vault
Set roaring war.”

A lonely but enchanted island inhabited by powerful and dangerous spirits. Marooned there is Prospero, Duke of Milan, banished twelve years ago, with his infant daughter. Prospero, employing his own potent magic to enslave the spirits, raises a terrible storm and enacts his revenges upon the usurping Italian nobles…

“Spirits, which by mine art I have from their confines call’d to enact my present fancies.”

But can he escape his island prison, regain his dukedom and provide his daughter with her perfect happy ending…?
Sometimes merry, sometimes melancholy, Bard in the Botanics’ exciting and theatrical new outdoor production of The Tempest promises magic, music and mystery…
