Bard in the Botanics are thrilled to announce the full line-up for our fantastic, 15th Anniversary "Vaulting Ambition" summer season, featuring a host of new productions all staged in the beautiful surroundings of Glasgow's Botanic Gardens. First up is Shakespeare's most sparkling, witty comedy - "Twelfth Night" - running from 22nd June to 9th July. Directed by Jennifer Dick and starring Robert Elkin, this comedy is the perfect start to the summer, bringing the swinging 60s to the Botanics!

Then Artistic Director, Gordon Barr, directs a powerhouse cast, including Bard favourites, Kirk Bage and Nicole Cooper, in a 5-actor version of the ever-popular "Macbeth" from 13th - 30th July.

In the stunning Kibble Palace Glasshouse, as part of our ongoing "Lesser Spotted Shakespeare" series, Gordon Barr directs "Coriolanus", making its Bard in the Botanics debut from 23rd June to 9th July

Finally, we are thrilled to introduce a new strand to our work - "Writing the Renaissance" - which explores the other writers and plays from Shakespeare's time. This exciting new strand kicks off with a production of Marlowe's "Doctor Faustus", directed by Jennifer Dick, in the Kibble Palace from 14th - 30th July.

We are celebrating Shakespeare's 400th Anniversary year and our 15th Birthday with our most exciting programme of shows ever - and we hope to see you there.
