“It is required you do awake your faith”
When King Leontes suspects his wife, Hermione, of being unfaithful with his best friend, his irrational jealousy rips apart his loving family and his whole court.
With Hermione on trial for her life, Leontes orders their new-born baby daughter cast out into the wilderness and, in so doing, unwittingly sets in motion a chain of events that will take 16 years to find their resolution.
From out of a shattered world comes a celebration of the healing powers of time & the potency of forgiveness and, maybe even, a happy ending at long last!
Don’t miss a rare chance to enjoy this beautiful story as Bard in the Botanics stages Shakespeare’s great tale of redemption and renewal for the first time in fifteen years.
