Cast Announcement - Nicole Cooper & Kirk Bage

Today we have two very familiar faces for Bard audiences.

Fresh from her Critics Award for Theatre nomination for last year’s Coriolanus (pictured), Nicole Cooper will be returning to the Botanic Gardens to play the title role in Timon of Athens and Isabella in Measure for Measure. Nicole is a firm favourite with Bard audiences and has played a huge range of roles, including Lady Macbeth, Portia (The Merchant of Venice), Cassia (Julius Caesar), Rosalind (As You Like It) and many more!

She’s joined in the Kibble Palace for this year’s season by another Bard favourite – Kirk Bage is returning for his 11th season, this year playing Acibiades in Timon of Athens and the mysterious Duke Vincentio in Measure for Measure.

Kirk’s many previous roles for the company include Macbeth (pictured), Iago (Othello), Mark Antony (Julius Caesar), Falstaff (Henry IV) and Shylock (The Merchant of Venice). Kirk and Nicole have played opposite each other many times at Bard so we can’t wait to see what their characters’ relationships have in store this summer.
